The EBMA is looking for a publishing industry veteran to provide continuity, coordination, planning and communication facilitation between the EBMA Executive team, the EBMA Board of Directors, the Collie Gorg Group (CGG, our association management service provider), EBMA membership, and the Publishing and Educational Wholesale Industries.

EBMA Director roles and responsibilities

Participate in and execute EBMA mission and vision planning and implementation.

Facilitate recruitment of new members (publishers and wholesalers) and sponsors.

Promote the EBMA brand in Publishing and Educational Wholesale marketplaces.

Support the EBMA Board and committees with scheduling, coordination, and tracking organizational goals.

Support CGG communication and functions with industry experts and authors participating in webinars and annual conference programming.

Facilitate and record Board Meetings and attend various virtual committee meetings.

Qualifications

Applicant should have 10+ years of experience in publishing or the educational wholesale market with deep relationships/connections to publishers and educational wholesalers.  Excellent communication, organizational and relational skills required.

Compensation and Expectations

This position will require 5-40 hours per week with significant seasonal fluctuations and travel to two board meetings annually as well as annual conference attendance.  There will also be 10-12 virtual meetings throughout the year that the Director will help organize, record meeting minutes for, and coordinate action items generated in the meetings.  Compensation range will be $20,000 to $40,000 annually depending on accepted scope of responsibilities and experience with full travel re-imbursement for EBMA related activities.
